20|Chocolatey Buddies♥

Friends is always there for you. We are open to each other that's way we don't have any arguements, we help each other. We treated each other as sisters and brother. Siblings not in blood, but in the things that we want to do same. Siblings in different mothers. Chocolatey buddies are those people whose very important to me. This include: Pamela Gatdula, Andrae Recuenco, Mariane Viray, Kette Capitulo, Christian Muñoz and lastly Jan Michael Mil. I'm very happy to be part of this group. A group of people whose intelligent, creative and everything. Sometimes if I don't understand something I approach them and they help me.

On my first day in this block, I feel very welcome and like a family to them. They approach me, I'm very thankful that I have them in my life, and unforgettable friends. I'll keep all of you.

One of the closest friend of mine is Andrae, she is annoying sometimes. But I still love her. I really love her personality and her attitude. Sometimes she funny, I miss her singing some Jeje songs. Those times. Ugghh. On our last day, she made me cry. I say goodbye to her and she feel something. Her eye was attempting to cry. That's why, I feel like I lost the persons I've known last 2 months but it's very heart breaking for me. I hope to still see my Chocolatey Buddies.

PS: Iloveyou guys!! Godbless.

19|Speech Choir

Finally! The speech choir is over, we've done through a lot in this competition. Some arguements, because of our other blockmates who did not participant. All of us feel the pain, but that pain is worth it! We don't expect anything we just want to finish the competition, and we aim to have a high grade from our beloved prof Nomer Yuzon.

Our sacrifies is worth it! We our the champion in Speech Choir, victory for TM151. Super happy can't explain how much happiness I feel. Very proud of being part of this block. I'll never forget all of you guys. :) Godbless xx

18|Ignite Speech

A 20 slides and 5 minutes presentation for ignite. What can you say? It has a lot of pressure inside of this Ignite Speech. All TM students encounter how hard to make a presentation which has a 20 slides and you only 5 minutes to deliver your speech. There are times that because of the nervousness and pressure we will forget the lines of your speech.

Our representative for the Ignite Speech is Charella Gonzales, I know that she did her best. But sadly, we didn't win. But it's okay. We are still very proud of Charella. :)

17|Public Speaking Inter-School Competition

Another program from APC Speaks, I'm proud that my friend Jan Michael Mil is one of the contestant. I really like the way we deliver his speak to all of us. I really admire his speaking skills, we trust him that he will win the contest then he made it unto the final round. I'm so happy for him.

Alot of nervous rounds him that time, he is nervous because obviously he don't like to stand infront of the crowd. And moment of listens, because of listening to his speech. But I'm very proud for him. Someday I like to be like him whose not afraid to speak infront of the crowd. Another award for TM151, Cheers!

16|Traditional Books vs. Ebooks

If I were ask you, what would be more convenient to use? Traditional books? or E-books? It used to be so easy to define what a book was: a collection of printed pages bound inside a cover that you could place on a shelf in your library, or in a store. But because of the advancement of technology, enthusiasts have created another way of learning: E-books is a text and image based publication in digital form produced on, published by and readable on computers and other digital devices. There are many factors to consider when discussing the matter of traditional books vs. E-books, but  ultimately, it boils down to the reader’s preference. Avid fans of traditional books claim that there’s nothing like the smell of paper and the rustle of the pages as the reader flips gently through the book with their fingers. On the other hand, those who prefer ebooks often say that the device literally takes a whole lot of  weight from their shoulders. Packing for trips is bad enough as it is, but it becomes doubly so when confronted with the task of choosing which book to bring.  I support that usage of E-books because as the world changes, the lifestyle of people and society also changes. Now we’re living in a technological world, we should also go with the flow and make necessary changes for good. Filipinos will be able to innovate and be globally competitive if we use e-books in education. Also, it will benefit the students health. We won’t need to bring heavy books to school. Because the tablet will contain the learning materials, then it will be a better source of education. It’s convenient but risky because of culprits who have penchant on gadgets and anything they can sell for a high cost. There’s also the matter of production cost. Obviously, traditional books cost more because of the resources needed. Ebook reader manufacturers, though, spend the majority of their production cost on the devices itself, and everything is digital and a fraction of the cost per book, compare to traditional book. One of the advantage of ebooks is that you are able to carry your whole library, and that is really useful because carrying more than five big classic books is very uncomfortable. As all your books are in the ebook reader, they can easily be moved, for instance, if you move to another house.

It is also, easily readable, because most of ebook readers have zoom, possibility to change the letter size, and so forth. They are eco-friendly too. In storage those who own a lot of books know how much space they can take up, but with a reader, your bookshelf is located on a small handheld device, your computer or on both. This will save you a lot of storage space and also means you have a backup online if something happens to your books. Font adjustments with an eBook, you can instantly change the darkness of the lettering or the size of your font. When your eyes feel strained after reading a paper book too long, you have little choice but to stop reading. With an eBook, you can just change the font size and keep going. This is also a great feature for those who need large print books. Night reading if you read in bed, an eBook may be a good option as many readers come with built-in reading lights. These are easy to use and won’t get in the way like the lights attached to actual books do. Speed the moment you decide to read an e-book, the fun begins and it is quicker than waiting for your ordered print book to arrive at your doorstep. Moreover, in this time people are now more conscious about climate change and traditional books require paper which comes from trees. More paperback books would mean more cutting of trees. Our love for books should not cause our Mother Nature harm especially now that we already have a better alternative to traditional books. Using books would be the perfect compromise for our love for books. Both forms of books have many advantages and choosing which a better option is depends only on you. You may find convenience using the technology or to continue experience the comfort of traditional reading zone.

15|10 ways to be a Good Student

10 Ways to Be a Good Student
  1. Come to school everyday. Attend every class and be on time!  Poor attendance and frequent tardies contribute to failure in class.  Don’t miss class unnecessarily and be sure to get notes and complete all assignments for the days that you do miss.
  2. Have your supplies ready.  Bring everything that you need to class.  Your locker is probably not close by and it takes time away from class for you to have to leave to retrieve your materials.
  3. Have you materials organized.  It’s stressful to dig through your book bag to find homework that is actually under your bed.  If you know where everything is, you’ll save time and be less likely to forget something important.
  4. Pay attention in class.  It’s not simply enough to show up.  You need to listen, take notes, and ask questions to make sure that you don’t miss anything important.
  5. Complete assignments on time. Most teachers will not accept late work and even if they do, you’ll lose points.  Keep an agenda and use it to write down every assignment and be sure to check it nightly.  Cross out items as you finish them.
  6. Follow directions. What’s the point of completing an assignment if you’re not going to do it right?  Don’t lose points on a test or quiz because you didn’t do what was asked of you.  Look for examples to follow.  If you’re not sure of what to do, ask for clarification.
  7. Ask for help when you need it. Don’t be embarrassed to ask questions.  Teacher’s love to see you learn and if it takes a quick question after class or an extra help session after school, we are all willing to do what we can to help you.  Don’t wait until test day or the last days before the final exam to get help.  If you see that you are struggling, get help early.  The sooner the better.
  8. Participate in class activities. Class activities are designed to help you learn and practice so it’s important that you participate and take them seriously.  Failure to participate not only hurts you, it can be a distraction to classmates.
  9. Follow all school rules. Do what’s asked of you by your teachers and other school staff.  Some rules are given for your safety and the safety of others; others are given simply to make class go smoothly so that you and your classmates can learn and get more accomplished.  All school rules are applicable in the classroom and each classroom has its own rules.  Familiarize yourself with these and follow them.
  10. Always try to do your best. All anyone can ask of you is 100% effort.  End each day knowing that you did your best and be proud of that.

14|Inter-Highschool Public Speaking Competition

Public speaking (sometimes termed oratory or oration) is the process or act of performing a presentation (a speech) focused around an individual directly speaking to a live audience in a structured, deliberate manner in order to inform, influence, or entertain them. Public speaking is commonly understood as the formal, face-to-face talking of a single person to a group of listeners. It is closely allied to "presenting", although the latter is more often associated with commercial activity. Most of the time, public speaking is to persuade the audience.

Inter-highschool Public Speaking Competition is one of the APC speaks activity. I really admire those who joined the competition, they try their best for the competition. One of the contestant that I admire is Phobe Almario she's like a professional public speaker even she is just a high school student. I know that she has a power to be a good public speaker. We won the championship and I don't have doubt she deserve the title of being a champion. I always congratulate those who participant the competition of our beloved school.
